Youth shot at over old hatred in Lucknow

A young man was shot dead by his rivals in an old enmity in the Chinhat police station area on Saturday evening.

The victim Animesh Dwivedi of Gahmar Kunj Colony and his friends Nitin Kumar and Saurabh Nayak went to a dhaba in the area on Saturday evening. Around 12.30 pm on Sunday, his rivals Ashif Ali and Satyapal, both from Deoria and Anant Singh from Gorakhpur, ambushed him when they were in a service lane near a mall in the area.

"They stopped the bike we were riding and opened fire on me and my friends. I sustained a bullet in my knee. They were accompanied by some youths, but I could not identify them.
